Brewers Bobblehead Information Source

Brewers Bobbleheads a is nice site covering the Brewers from 2001-2007.  Also includes a significant number of minor league issues.  Like the Twins site, it contains links with photos and value estimates.  There have been a reasonable number of Brewer issues since 2007, so some updating will be needed.  However, as a starting point for the info on the Crew, this is a fine starting point.

Twins Bobblehead Information Source

Today I am posting my first resource links.  It is my goal to pull together a sort of virtual price guide over time, so I will begin my linking to sources that will likely lead me to the experts.

My overall interest is in MLB for starters, specifically in SGA and other limited distribution items.  It seems that the universe for such a body of information would be much more manageable.  Despite all of my searches, I don't see one unified source...other than pricing info on Ebay.  That said, there are many good resources on specific teams which is where I will begin.

Nearest and dearest to my heart....is the Twins Bobbles website.  It appears to be run by some non-collectors, but the information is complete, well thought out, and well presented.  It goes through 2010 from what I see, but that is almost all of the activity on the Twins front.

I highly recommend this site for Twins collectors.

A Nod to Blogging

I am using my first foray into blogging to educate myself and further my collection of baseball bobbleheads and statues.  I will be maintaining and messing with the features primarily as a means of self-education, however, as someone who believes that "what gets measured gets done", I will attempt to achieve three ends:

1.  Gather a collection of links to high-value resources on the hobby such as specific collector sites that assist in creating a general body of knowledge on the hobby beyond just multiple links to Ebay and other sites seeking to sell product.

2.  Create a network of contacts that can supply information and serve as trading partners.  Over the years I have obtained a number of duplicates that I would like to spin into new additions.

3.  Add to my collection in a cost-effective manner.

I know that there are at least a couple of other communities out there.  It is not my intention to steal their membership base or bother them.  It is my intention to create something new and enjoy doing it.
